At McArthur Industries, we want you to know that your safety and wellbeing are our top priorities. That’s why we’re sharing this detailed COVID-19 Update to keep you informed about how we’re operating during this time.

Just a quick note to let you know that we will be continuing to operate as normal unless advised otherwise by the relevant health authorities or government agencies. We remain committed to providing the same high level of service you’ve come to expect. It is business-as-usual for us, even after 48 years of proudly serving our local community—and we’re here to help in any way we can. Our brilliant and dedicated team is ready and available to make your life as easy as possible. If there’s something you need—no matter how big or small—please don’t hesitate to reach out.

Although it’s business as usual, this COVID-19 Update includes the extra precautions we’re taking across all our workshops to ensure you, our staff, and the greater community remain protected and well. These precautions are informed by the latest health guidelines and are designed to minimise any potential risk while allowing us to keep delivering essential services.

As much as we like, respect, and appreciate all of you, we’re temporarily avoiding the good old handshake and the occasional friendly hug until further notice! We’re finding new ways to show gratitude and kindness—without the physical contact.

To make things more convenient and safer for everyone, we are now offering a pick-up and drop-off service directly from your home, allowing you to remain safely isolated while still accessing the services you need. If you’re interested in using this service, simply reach out to us and we’ll organise everything for you.

Additionally, we’ve implemented a contactless key exchange process. Before your scheduled service, you can leave your keys in a secure, lockable area of your choosing. Once collected, we’ll notify you that the vehicle is in our care. After the work is completed, we’ll return your keys and vehicle to the same spot and confirm the return. No hand-to-hand contact is required.

To further ensure safety, we are sanitising all major touchpoints on every vehicle we service. This includes door handles (interior and exterior), steering wheels, gear sticks, bonnet latches, keys, and any surface our technicians have worked around. Our aim is to provide peace of mind with every service, knowing your vehicle has been handled with care and cleaned thoroughly in light of the current COVID-19 Update.

We are also strictly maintaining social distancing within all interactions. Whether it’s between our staff or between staff and customers, a minimum distance of 1.5 metres will be observed. We understand this can be a bit awkward—especially when showing us something inside your car—but rest assured, your safety is paramount.

For added convenience, we’ve also established a designated drop-off zone at our block at 100 Connaught Street. Vehicles can be left here with no physical contact with any staff. Once your vehicle is dropped off, just give us a call and one of our team members will retrieve the work order and begin the job. When it’s time to collect your vehicle, we can apply the same safe, contact-free process. All paperwork, service photos, and invoices will be sent electronically.

We are also happy to accommodate customers via video chat, should you wish to walk through your work order before drop-off or pickup. Just let us know in advance and we’ll provide the necessary access and links.

Lastly, we want to make payments easy and stress-free. That’s why invoices can now be paid securely online through STRIPE Payment Services, with just the push of a button. We also accept AfterPay and Zip Pay to offer flexible payment options for anyone needing a bit of financial breathing room during this COVID-19 Update period.
